Industrial Cleaning and Maintenance Professionals for Crematoria
Potentially hazardous dust from refractory lined machines, MMMFs, carbon (soot) and general dust can accumulate over the crematory within the space of 6 to 12 months on surfaces, high level ducting and on top of machinery.
Ventilation in the crematory often becomes neglected or forgotten about. If ventilation is blocked or restricted more dust can accumulate. Poor air flow, room balance, room temperature and the efficiency of ventilation fans can increase 50% in some cases increasing energy costs.
Major building work like machinery relining or furnace wrecking will create a dust problem. Any work that involves removing insulation like replacing a duct can also make the crematory into a very dusty environment. Some of these dusts are irritants and potentiolly hazardous and should be treated under COSHH.
